Regulations Governing the Academic Review for the Journal of Music Research

Passed by the 1st Editorial Board Meeting on March 24, 2008
Amended and passed by the Editorial Board Meeting for Issue 25 on September 30, 2016

Article 1

These regulations are set to promote the academic standard of the Journal of Music Research (hereafter referred to as the Journal) by implementing a rigorous and fair academic review mechanism.

Article 2

The College of Music establishes an Editorial Board for the Journal of Music Research (hereafter referred to as the Editorial Board), which is in charge of the editorial policies, calls for papers, reviews and publications of the Journal. Statutes Governing the Composition for the Editorial Board should be decided separately.

Article 3

The Journal adopts anonymous peer review, therefore the names of the reviewers and the contributors will not be revealed throughout the whole process.

Article 4

Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two scholars and the results will be the key reference for the Editorial Board to decide whether the manuscript should be accepted for publication or not.

Article 5

To take effect, these Regulations should be passed by the Editorial Board of the Journal. Amendments to the Regulations shall undergo the same procedures to become effective.
